How Fast Is Random Video Chat? MonkeyCam Match Speed Study
This study measures how fast random video chat actually is on MonkeyCam: the time from tapping start to being matched, and the time until a live video conversation is really on screen.
Match speed matters because it decides whether random video chat feels instant or frustrating. For people comparing Monkey-style platforms, the seconds between wanting a conversation and having one are often the difference between staying and leaving.

What We Measure
- Time from starting a session to the first random match.
- Time from match to remote video being ready (first frame of the other person on screen).
- How these times vary across anonymous sessions during the study period.
